Soon after, Nketiah equalised with an excellent strike into the far corner. In the 32nd minute, the former Arsenal striker scored again, converting at the far post from an Ismaila Sarr assist. It was his 50th professional goal.

Ben Chilwell made it 3-1 after the break, scoring with the help of a deflection, ing his first goal in over two years. Strand Larsen brought Wolves back into the game with a goal from a corner about half an hour from time.

Joel Ward received an emotional farewell from the fans after 12 years at the club, being substituted shortly before the final whistle. FA Cup final hero Eberechi Eze came off the bench and scored again to make it 4-2.

With this win, the Eagles set a new club record of 52 points in a Premier League season and have a chance to finish in the top 10, with Bournemouth and Fulham currently on 53 and 54 points respectively before the final round.
